AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): Tripura Working Journalist Association has thanked the Biplab Deb led Tripura Govt for hiking journalists pensions from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 10,000.
Tripura Working Journalist Association General Secretary Debashish Majumder in a press release said, “Tripura Govt on June 14 has taken this decision via cabinet meeting. Earlier, in press club Chief Minister Biplab Deb had announced about pension hike first. With the implementation of the promise, we thank the state govt”.
Noteworthy, Tripura Working Journalist Association has been appealing for pension hike since many years.
Recently with an issue, the Association had raised question, why CM Biplab Deb’s promise is being delayed to be implemented.
However, with the decision of the state govt, state journalists are happy.
