AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Once again political violence of tiny state Tripura has come out, which had expanded under the Left Govt since 1988.

In today’s Janata Durbar parents of one killed Congress activist Parthajit Datta Choudhury met BJP CM Biplab Deb demanding proper justice for their son.

Back in 2000, Parthajit Datta Choudhury, resident of Jirania was killed allegedly by CPI-M goons in front of the then Minister Manik Dey.

With a sensitive note, parents of the deceased claimed that it was none other than Ex-CPI-M Minister Manik Dey who was standing on the spot,  when his activists were killing Parthajit.

Parthajit Datta Choudhury’s parents accused Manik Dey as the mastermind behind his killing.

CM Biplab Deb has assured full justice to the victim's family.

Parents of the deceased also carried their son’s photo along with them and shown it to the Chief Minister. Meeting the CM, parents of Parthajit urged him to reopen their son’s murder case file.

Manik Dey however is often termed as ‘mafia-king’ of Tripura, along with another CPI-M’s MP Shankar Prasad Datta.

Manik Dey was also beaten by an unemployed youth Samir Debnath back in 2016 with allegations of taking bribe from him with fake promises of giving jobs.
