UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday during his visit in Tripura said, with the special initiative of govt of India, Northeast has made a very important position in the roadmap of the country and in that way only for Tripura 500 km of roadway project has been taken in hands for which Rs. 6000 crores have been invested. “Railway and roadway do not only mitigate the communication gap and ease the transport movement but also brings two places' people near. The proper National Highway between Agartala to Sabroom will connect the Southern Tripura with Agartala directly. Matabari is far from Sabroom and neighboring country Bangladesh but as soon as National Highway will be developed in that route and the pool over Feni river will be constructed then the communication will become more easy with the neighboring country Bangladesh and via Chittagong port people can reach here at a minimum time with less expanses”, said the President.
