AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): The tragic end of minor girl Lahiri Debbarma is turning critical as group of facebook, whatsApp, twitter users are allegedly using the sentiment in wrong way to instigate violence, SP West Ajit Pratap Singh said. Addressing media, SP said, "It has been observed that via WhatsApp some messages are getting viral which invite violence. I request the public to stay away from commenting in such sensitive issues as police have started investigation to find out rumour mongers".Being asked by media, why police is not taking any action against the cyber criminals, SP said, "A particular facebook page has delivered some violent messages and a large numbers of people also have shared it. We have developed a cyber team here for that and already we have appealed Facebook to report about the admin".
"As facebook is based on USA, so it takes time to get the information via that server, but we are now trying at our level best to track them who are spreading rumours", Singh added.
The SP also also said, as soon as the admin will be identified, action will be taken.
However, police didn't reveal whether the minor girl Lahiri Debbarma was guilty or the Big Bazaar employee was responsible behind her suicide. Replying media questions, Singh said, "This too early ! On the Day-4 of the incident police can not give the conclusion".
Police have also talked to the friends of Lahiri Debbarma and investigation is going on.
