AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar on Monday raised question, why no BJP, IPFT party offices were bulldozed in Tripura.
“Even after our demonstrations also the bulldozing had been continuing. Above 70 party offices of CPI-M were bulldozed”, Dhar said.
On the other side, during a demonstration CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Datta said, “Tripura’s democracy has been looted under the BJP-IPFT Govt”.
“The day when BJP came in power, people accepted them hoping they will develop the state, but the incidents which are happening are exactly opposite of the expectation”, he said.
“At first they attacked the trade union offices, where poor workers used to come and take rest. Then they attack the oppositions party offices and illegally started bulldozing them”, Datta said.
“In some places they occupied such offices and changed the banners and rest were destroyed”, he added.
The rally was conducted by CITU as a part of protest against BJP led bulldozing of party offices made over govt lands.
