UDAIPUR, May 21 (TIWN): One python was recovered from a pond at Udaipur subdivision in Gomati District of Tripura on Monday by the local villagers while they were fishing.
The snake was recovered from East Gokulpur area’s Promod Biswas’s house located pond, when locals were catching fish with a big net at there.
At first two locals Babul Biswas, Dilip Mandal saw the snake inside the fishing-net and with their attempts the snake was recovered from there.
The weight of the python will be at least 20 kg and length is around 10 ft.
Another local Anil Sarkar said, before few years one more python was found in their area. More pythons’ existences are now guessed at there.
The python was handed over to Forest Dept.
