AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): At least four persons died in Tripura following the incessant rain and a mud-walled house collapsed over a family members.

The deceased are : Shaniram Debbarma (50), Abhijeet Debbarma (9), Amitra Bala Debbarma (45).

The incident took place at Bairagi Tila of Hejamara block on Friday morning, when a mud-walled house had collapsed over the household. 

More were admitted in hospital following the massive landslide and one was referred to GB hospital.

In the same area another person also stabbed to death after in the same way a mud-walled house was collapsed. The deceased has been identified as Malendra Debbarma.

Chief Minister has announced Rs. 5 lakh of compensation to each family of the deceased. Out of the Rs. 5 lakh, Rs. 1 lakh will be given from the CM’s fund, said CM Biplab Deb today.
