AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): CPI-M backed Nari Samiti led by MP Jharna Das and Rama Das today voiced against the ongoing alleged violence across the state following the election result in BJP's favour.
A deputation was scheduled to place to DGP A K Sukla and in his absence the women leaders talked to the IG, Law and Order.
MP Jharna Das Biadya while addressing media alleged about various ongoing violence in the state under the BJP Govt.
“Today CPI-M leaders are bound to sign in resignation papers. If somebody comes in our houses,the person is threatened and asked for what purpose s/he came”, Jharna Das alleged.
“We are unable to launch protest, rallies as no permission is being granted. Such situation had never emerged in Tripura before. No democracy is existing anymore in Tripura”, she added.
