AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Political brain washing and political wrong teachings have left a major section of Tripura tribals on hills with a "feeling of insecurity". Amid since 1931 Tripura has been recorded with Bengali majority under the King's ruling, the separatists still believe it was after 1948 and maximum after 1971 that the illegally Bengali population increased here in Tripura. Separatists way of talks, hatred against non-tribals, use of phrase and words are hurting the Indians livings in Tripura since their predecessors time and in the name of freedom of speech bundles of misinterpretations are in action to alienate the majority Bengalis, even though actual cause of Bengali majority in Tripura were centered with 2 facts : 1) Bengalis paid taxes and helped the king to earn revenues led the King to invite them in more numbers, 2) The second reason is, earlier many parts of Bangladesh were with Tripura led Tripura with a mixed culture always.
Addressing media, TFP top leader Chitta Debbara on yesterday claimed during their hunger strike against Citizenship (Amendments) bill said, ‘Tripura is now ruling by all illegal immigrants’.
Doesn’t matter what the leader meant by those words, but BJP Govt has been totally silent against such speeches.
Chitta Debbarma said, “Tripura is the highest victim of illegal migrants. Today due to illegal migrants, in all places tribals are deprived”.
“As Tripura is ruled by illegal migrates, thus the tribals are now becoming micro-minority from minority. The BJP Central Govt also promised to save the identities of tribals in Tripura, but if the bill passes to welcome more illegal migrants, within next 40 years, tribal culture will be extinct" Chitta Debbarma told media.
