AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): PM Modi has called Biplab Deb, the controversial Chief Minister of Tripura to New Delhi, a source has informed.
In leading national new portals also this information was shared that PM Modi has summoned Biplab Deb on May 2nd.
A source said, Karnataka BJP leaders also have suggested Central BJP leaders to replace the Tripura Chief Minister.
With all these, PM Modi’s call for Tripura CM has triggered suspension.
Tripura Chief Minister is coming across various controversies after his one after one blunders from Mahabharata-internet episode to Diana Hayden’s beauty.
The latest two were when he said, ‘Mechanical engineers should not join Civil Service’ and ‘Youths should breed cows and open paan shops instead of running only after govt jobs’.
“The summoning of Deb to national capital has assumed significance after a group of BJP leaders has moved party leadership asking to resign in Deb for this might adversely impact the saffron party in poll bound Karnataka”, the Economic Times reported.
