AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): 21 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector distributed Solar Lamps to needy families in Manithang and Thandachara villages of Gomati District on 28 Apr 2018 , where electricity is a rare commodity.

An informative lecture to spread awareness amongst the locals regarding prevention from malaria was also organised.This gesture of the Assam Rifles in bringing succour to the locals and helping in upliftment of their living standards was lauded by one and all.

On the other side, total of number of  200 solar lamps were distributed in remote tribal villages  Durganagar and Lathaibari in Khowai District.

This gesture is a part of the contribution of Assam Rifles in bringing succour to the locals, helping in upliftment of their living standards as also to promote use of green energy.
