AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): 1997 Miss World from India Diana Hayden while addressing public via NDTV 24X7 in the evening, she made her stand clear, “I am really upset what Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has said” !

“But at the same time I am also thankful and glad that public are supporting me like that. I means we have developed a lot”, she said.

“Our skin colours are loved across the globe. I am hurt because I myself is engaged in various talks, lectures and grooming children with confidence with their skin colour”.

“The comparison he made, was only with Aish, which clearly indicates he meant the skin colour". 

"When you are leader, you should be careful what you are speaking. Your words bring impact in a larger scale inside the society”, she said.

“Particularly the skin colour issue hurt me. Since my childhood I was struggling with my skin colour and today I am grooming the girls, women how to stay confident with brown skin colour. Indian skin colours are loved across the world !”, she said.

The debate erupted after Tripura Chief Minister on Thursday had certified Diana Hayden as “Unworthy” to be crowned as Miss World as she doesn't look like Laxmi and Saraswati, even though Aishwarya Rai is still okay !
