AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Thursday while addressing in a ‘Design-Workshop on handloom’ at Agartala Pragna Bhawan said, the Miss World Competition is just a tool to enter in a country’s market, where everything is pre-fixed about "who is going to win the Miss World trophy".
Chief Minister claimed that there were no credits of Indian women for bringing 5 times Miss World trophies (in real 6 times) as the International Fashion Industry led the women to walk on ramps with 'fabrics on bodies' just for show.
“Actually they wanted to enter in Indian market and thus anybody was participating from India was returning after wining Miss World or Miss Universe trophies, including Diana Hayden. How could Diana Hayden become a Miss World by representing Indian culture ?”, he said
