AGARTALA, April 23 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb while addressing at National Workshop on Human-Computer Interaction programme at the NIT said, “Hindi is the best language of India because almost all the people can understand it and people should use Hindi as much as possible. We use local language like Bengali is all right, but Hindi is our national language”.

“British for their uses and superiority launched English as official language, whereas when Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivers speech in Hindi beyond India and the NRIs also feel good”, CM said.

“If countries like China, Russia have developed a lot without much English, then why not we ?”, said CM.

The Chief Minister also claimed that Israel is the most technologically advanced country, which  doesn’t use English.

“English should be used only as a common language, but it shouldn’t be valued more than that. My son is better than me in English because he studies in English medium school. But it doesn’t mean he is more intelligent than me”, Biplab Deb said.
