AGARTALA, April 23 (TIWN): When state is celebrating ‘Road Safety Week’ and Chief Minister Biplab Deb has claimed to put traffic signals in each corners of the street, then traffic lights at the Math Chowmuhani was found non-functional, which had been introduced by the previous Left Govt under the then CM Manik Sarkar.
The traffic lights were introduced by the previous CPI-M Govt on the eve of election, but this is not the first time, but earlier also the signal became weak or dead many times after its inauguration.
Today Chief Minister Biplab Deb has slammed the previous govt saying, it’s a shame that in last 40 years traffic signals couldn’t introduce in each corner of the state whereas now it’s a GPS era.
