AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): On The occasion of "UJJWALA DIWAS" 21 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 21 Sector Assam Rifles in collaboration with IOC Agencies at Khowai(LPG distributed237,form filled 236), Udaipur(LPG distributed 175,form filled 397), Mandai (LPG distributed 200, form filled 413)and Jampuijhala(LPG distributed 120, form filled 223) facilitated distribution of free LPG gas connections as part of Ujjwala Yojna to families 'Below Poverty Line (BPL).

The aim of organising the event was to facilitate welfare programmes of Government to reach to the common masses. 732 BPL families in jirania, khowai,udaipur and jampuijhala were provided Free Gas Connections and 1269 more forms were also filled.

This sanguine effort of Assam Rifles towards Nation Building by reaching the far flung areas of Tripura has been appreciated by both civil authorities and locals.
