AGARTALA, April 19 (TIWN): 21 Assam Rifles under the ageis of HQ 21 Sector distributed solar lamps to needy families in remote village of Hathimara in Gandacherra Sub division of Dhalai district, on 19 April 2018.

 A total of 100 families were benefitted in whose houses ,  electricity is a rare commodity.Many of the houses in the village do not have electricity connection. This gesture  of the Assam Rifles in bringing succour to the locals and helping in upliftment of their living standards was lauded by one and all.

The villagers expressed extreme happiness after getting the solar lamps.
