AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): "97.92 % ration cards have been linked with Aadhaar cards in Tripura", in a workshop on Computerization Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced today.
CM was addressing on the importance of E-Governance and Digitization.
"In ration distribution heavy corruptions have been seen in the last few decades. Rs. 2 of rice grains per kilo are reserved for the BPL families, but in that also corruption have gripped each roots of the food-supply system. To overcome such corruption trends, digitization is very much important. In Tripura almost all ration cards are now linked with Adhaar", CM said.
"The second phase have been started on E-rationing system. CM also appreciated Food & Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Manoj Deb and Principal Secretary Y Kumar saying, "They are doing great jobs".
