AGARTALA, April 14 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has unveiled the life-size Bronze Statue of Dr BR Ambedkar on his 128th birth anniversary at ONGC complex in Agartala.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Rampada Jamatia, ED-Asst Manager of ONGC Tripura G K Singha Roy, President CWC AISCSTEWA ONGC P R Milli, Representatives of AISCSTEWA, ONGC Tripura and other dignitaries. 

In the Welcome speech G K Singha Roy said, "The towering of 7 ft statue is the first its kind of in Tripura". 

"It will be mark of respect to this great ideologist and wills serve as reminder to each one of us to remain true to the saying of Dr Ambedkar that the cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence", he added.

The bronze statue was crafted by Ram Sutar Art Creation, Noida, the same company that designated the statue of unity --- the 527 ft statue of the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
