AGARTALA, April 12 (TIWN): Auto drivers came in massive protest at Motostand today after traffic police launched a special drive to control above 3 passengers carrying practices led by the auto drivers.
Traffic police also directed the auto drivers not to take drive beyond their own areas.
Following the tight rules imposed upon them, the auto drivers blocked road asking if they can't carry above 3 passengers, how the buses are allowed to run overloaded?
With all these, the auto drivers blocked Motorstand road which led a massive traffic jam at the city.
However, east police rushed to the spot and control the jam, convincing the auto drivers to withdraw the blockade.
