AGARTALA, April 11 (TIWN): To serve the 'Gau Mata', Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) members have come forward and set teams across the state to stop tortures against cows.

On Wednesday a special drive was launched at Amarpur to Udaipur road in this regard. This drive was also as a part of spreading awareness on 'Don't torture Gau Mata'.  

At Thakchara ( Amarpur to Udaipur road) a vehicle was also stopped by the VHP members which was carrying many cows in it.

The driver was also alerted that in future not more than 3 cows they can bear on a vehicle. Also they were asked to keep food and water for the cows inside the vehicle.
