AGARTALA, April 8 (TIWN): Assam Rifles 21-Bn have organzied 'Run for Unity' at the Capital City Agartala today morning.
Secretary to Governor, Health & Family Welfare, Transport Samarjit Bhowmik flagged off the marathon at Swami Vivekananda stadium.
The first prize in the run has been announced as Rs. 8000, 2nd prize is Rs.5000 and 3rd prize is Rs. 3000.
Besides distributing T-Shirts and caps, the first three finishers were awarded cash prizes and first ten finishers were given the certificate merit.
The aim of organizing the event was to spread the awareness about peace and unity in diversity amongst the locals and strength that can be derived by being one.
The selfless efforts of Assam Rifles for this noble cause of spreading peace in the region was highly appreciated.
