ED raids Battala shops, recovers ganja

AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): The Enforcement Dept (ED) officials in a special raid have recovered hefty amounts of ganja and also cracked down other illegal storing.
ED along with dog squad conducted the inspection in several spots of the Battala as a part of drive against anti-drug activities.
But nobody could be arrested on spot as the shop-keepers managed to escape after they acknowledged about the raid.
Enforcement Dept even though was in Tripura, but was never seen much active and independently operating.
However, local people and businessmen are happy with the raid done by ED today. At the same police are also continuing their drive against gambling, liquor business at Battala.
