SONAMURA, April 4 (TIWN): Sonamura Police led by SDPO Gamanjay Reang, Sonamura Police Station’s OC Srikanta Chakraborty have seized huge numbers of ganja packets and phensedyl bottles from Dhanpur.

In a raid, police have recovered total 251 bottles of phensedyl, 10 kg of ganja from Razak Mia’s house.

However, nobody could be arrested in the raid and Razak Mia is also absconding now.

Police are suspecting that Razak Mia stored the items to smuggle them in Bangladesh.

Due to the unfenced border such crimes are still continuing at border lined Sonamura area.

OC-Srikanta Chakraborty said, in coming days also police will be raiding to crack down the ganja and phensedyl business of that area.
