AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb today in an address to the state media persons said, “Tripura may be a small state, but media persons have successfully represented the state before the nation and the globe”.

"Media’s role to highlight Northeast’s tiny state like Tripura can’t be denied", CM said at Press Club here.

“I am proud that many of Tripura’s journalists are working in various national media. Because Tripura has enormous talent, that’s why it’s possible”, he said.

“It’s not so easy to make a place at the national level and the journalists working in national media are representing, highlighting Tripura with their own talents” , CM said.

“Out of 4 pillars of democracy, you are the one and if one pillar is unstable then the system can not be strong”, CM told journalists.

CM was addressing in a felicitation programme organized for him by Agartala Press Club and state journalists.

Dainik Sambad Editor Pradip Datta Bhaumik , Sandyan Patrika Editor Subal Bhaumik, Press Club Convener Pranab Sarkar, Secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) Dept ML Dey remained present in the dais with the Chief Minister.
