UDAIPUR, April 2 (TIWN): BJP women leader Pratima Bhowmik today has met Hadra victim who was beaten, assaulted on yesterday. Over a money dispute the woman was stripped naked by miscreants at Udaipur in front of her husband and children.

An FIR has been lodged today following the incident against Sukanta Shil and Biplab Kar. However, police immediately arrested both of them after Pratima Bhowmik had visited there.

The victim Soma Das, W/O-Shyamal Das has alleged about the incident to media demanding justice to her.

The incident took place at Hadra, No 2 ward. Regarding a money exchanging issue and land dispute, she was attacked, beaten by Sukanta Shil and Biplab Kar.

Local people said, the brutal incident is totally unexpected in chief minister's own area.

A local also alleged, 'Before election, Biplab Deb said crime against women will be reduced, but now it's seen that the people who were in CPI-M are attacking women in BJP tags'.

Pratima Bhowmik said, “Police are doing their duties and no miscreant will be pardoned”.
