TIWN April 1, 2018

AGARTALA, April 1 (TIWN): From Lenin statue's demolition, ruling BJP supporters suicide continues in Tripura. The saffron attired VHP members' foolish movement without Govt's permission will turn heavy for the BJP's vote banks surely, as after Lenin's statue's demolition they have now threatened public to stay away from cattle butcheries. A group of Viswa Hindu Parishad have thronged to South Joynagar (Agartala) to aware them to stop killing cows. A rally led by VHP was also conducted at there in saffron attires to ban the cattle butchery. CPI-M MLA Badal Choudhury has termed the incident as 'unexpected'. "They must cooperate with all religions and shouldn't be intolerant", Choudhury told TIWN over phone. Everything has a system either Lenin's statue pulling down or to stop cow-slaughter but the party activists without waiting for govt's next movement are openly misusing the power.
The Chief Minister via phone had asked the VHP leaders to stop the activities immediately, whatever is necessary CM will take the action.
Following CM's phone call, the VHP stopped their activity but mentioned, 'CM said he will take action against cattle butchery'.
SP West Abhijit Saptarshi rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. SP also asked public 'not to believe in any kind of rumour' and mentioned 'the situation is totally peaceful'.
