AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Assam Rifles under aegis of 21 Sector Assam Rifles organised a 'Run for Unity' in Khowai today.

The event received tremendous support from not only the Civil Administration but also the local populace.

As the Chief Guest Krishnendu Chakraborty SP Khowai was present and also flagged off the event at 7 AM from Khowai Boys HS Schoo Ground.

A total 150 runners and 310 attendees, including youths and elders participated in the run.

Besides distributing T-Shirts and caps, the first three finishers were awarded cash prizes and first ten finishers were given the certificate merit.

The aim of organizing the event was to spread the awareness about peace and unity in diversity amongst the locals and strength that can be derived by being one.

The selfless efforts of Assam Rifles for this noble cause of spreading peace in the region was highly appreciated.
