AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): 'The Confederation Indian Communists and Democratic Socialists' (CICDS) have come in protest after Lenin's statue was bulldozed at Belonia.

Addressing a press meet, C P John, General Secretary of CICDS today holding a press meet at Agartala Press Club said, "CICDS condemns the attacks against the political opponent by the ruling party".

At the same time he mentioned, "The failure of the Left in Tripura should be an eye-opener for the leading party of the Left Front CPI-M".

"The attitude of the CPI-M in its strongholds either in West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura was so arrogant that it couldn't moderate -- Centrist -- Secular parties and often tried to finish them off. But now the left should work with Congress and all secular parties to down BJP", he said.

At the same time John also asked BJP Govt to re-install the Lenin's statue at Belonia to prove it doesn't support vandalism.
