AGARTALA, August 30(TIWN): Even after her splendid achievement in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games, Tripura State Government till date has not declared any financial rewards for the young talent of the state Yesterday Youth Affairs and Sports Department Minister Shahid Chowdhury informed in a reply at the State Legislative Assembly, when questioned by opposition leader Ratan Lal Nath.

Nath wanted to know, what were the state governments future plans about the bronze medalist gymnast Chowdhury added that the Assembly extends their best wishes for Dipa

In a written reply, minister in charge of the respective department stated that on her return to Tripura after the prestigious achievement, Dipa Karmakar along with Coach Biseshwar Nandi had been felicitated at the Umakanta School Ground on behalf of the state government.

Then after a cabinet meeting, the Government also decided to regularize Dipa on her post and Biseshwar Nandi has been appointed as Sports Officer.

But at the same time it is clear that the Government does not plan on any financial rewards for her yet.
