AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): A brutal murder incident has shocked the capital city in the evening, amid heavy securities ongoing in the state following the poll result. Day after DGP A K Shukla had claimed the law and order is totally under control, the brutal murder incident has snatched the peace, generating turmoil among the citizens. The killed person has been identified as Manik Bhowmik, S/O-Manmohon Bhowmik, resident of Maitri Palli. The incident took place at Siddhi Asram, an area on the heart of Agartala. The victim was working at Nimbark in Agartala and on regular basis he travelled via that route. But whether the murder took place on that particular spot or not, nothing can be said now. Behind his head a major portion was cut with sharp weapon. Police is investigating the case.

In the evening, some local people found his body in pathetic condition at Siddhi Asram.

Getting informed police rushed to the spot, soon a huge numbers security were deployed. Police is investigating the case and mentioned that the culprit can not save ownself.

The body of the deceased Manik Bhowmik has been sent for post mortem.
