AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): CEO Sriram Taranikanti said EVM malfunctioning at 2.5% is very normal, whereas in maximum cases EVMs were absolutely alright but with simple problems like loose-plugging, the engineers were called, which the officials themselves could fix easily.

"We should be happy on our EVMs. Moreover, this time with VVPAT a self satisfaction worked out as voters could see whom they are voting. The voters satisfaction was most important", said the CEO.

"You must have observed, in re-polling there was no such problem, even though EVMs were from the used sets. It means there was no problem with EVMs, but ofcourse there were some gaps in the whole procedure, but our efforts were 100 %", said Taranikanti.
