AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): Eventhough, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar had demanded re-polling in Takarjala constituency, expressing resentment that categorically the Takarjala was cancelled from re-polling, but EC has given no reply.
"We are waiting for EC's response to our demand. Via media we are urging them", said Dhar on February 18.
Bijan Dhar further said, "It's quite surprising there is no mention of Takarjala. We demand EC's decision on Takarjala's re-poll. Moreover, the current scenario says that peaceful vote counting at Takarjala is not possible and thus counting centre should also be removed from the there. Along with Takarjala, Golaghati's counting should also be shifted"
"We wanted to meet the CEO yesterday but he was busy in a video conference", said Dhar.
However, EC has not replied to CPI-M's call and now all set for the counting day.
