AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): The Rapid Action Force (RAF) is in action to manage the law and order of the poll bound state. As Tripura is undergoing crucial Assembly Election session, so the Election Commission leaving no scope for any untoward incident.
After the election was ended, CEO Sriram Taranikanti said, "Tripura has shown how to conduct peaceful voting and being a small state, Tripura has cited example before the entire country and from now up to the counting the security will be more tight so that the peaceful environment go on".
Noteworthy, Tripura Election which was to be completed by February-18 across 60 constituencies in the first session on February 18 was conducted in 59 constituencies and one poll of Charilam constituency was postponed due to ruling CPI-M candidate's sudden demise. The poll will be conducted on March 12, which is after the poll result of the Assembly Election itself.
Today the ballot papers from various constituencies were brought by the ROs in Agartala and then after sorting out were exchanged among them and by tomorrow the postal ballots will be sent to each constituency.
Talking to TIWN, Add Chief Electoral Officer Debashis Modok said, "Today the sorting out of ballot papers to be completed and ROs will hand-over the ballot papers with each-other.
