AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar recently told media that central govt's allegation against Tripura CPI-M Govt about "unspent" money is 'incorrect'.
"This allegation is totally baseless, infact, we are utilizing 99% funds come from the centre. Otherwise, how the state is developing ?", said Sarkar.
"This a completely a false allegation they are trading. Money actually we are not getting properly and whatever we are getting 99% we are spending", he said.
"Our accounts are very-very transparent. Their people are coming every now and then. They are reviewing and this is the impression of the officers who are coming from the central Govt", said Manik Sarkar.
"At time what happens at the fag end of the financial year, the money which was supposed to release in the middle of the financial year and sometimes they are sending on 31st March and as a result the money can't be utilized in the current year... but instead of all these our track record is very transparent", he said.
