CHARILAM, Feb 23 (TIWEN): Bishalgarh resident 55 years old Samir Saha has met tragic death today in a road mishap at Charilam.
Following the incident the local people of Charilam blocked the National Highway for hours led massive traffic jam at there.
Thousands of vehicles kept stranding in the protest hours. Later with SDM's S Chowdhury's interruption the blockade was withdrawn.
After the incident Samir Saha was taken to Bishalgarh hospital immediately, but doctors declared him as dead.
Resentments have brewed among the locals of Charilam and Bishalgarh areas. After the National Highway's recovery numbers of accidents have increased at there, but surprisingly there is no a single statement given from the Transport Ministry in the last few years.
