AGARTALA, August 28 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar inagurated the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (National Mission for Financial Inclusion) in Tripura at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan here this evening.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Chief Minister Sarkar said that the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana would  benefit each and every person. The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is an ambitious scheme, under which the government would provide every household with a bank account with a debit card and an insurance cover. 

He urged all the banks of the state to cooperate with the people and to help them. He also thanked the the Prime Minister of India for launching the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana scheme.
