AGARTALA, August 28 (TIWN): Neermahal Jal Utsav will start from September 1st and continues till 3rd September at Melaghar under Sonamura Sub-Division. Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik will inaugurate the festival.

In order to make the Utsav a successful one a high level meeting has been done at Sagarmahal premises. The decisions taken in the meeting are related to inauguration, various competitions like manasamangal, swimming and boat race have been included as part of the festival.

Other dignitaries are expected to be present in the Utsav are Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs – Shahid Chowdhury, MLA of Sonamura Assembly constituency - Shyamal Chakraborty and Nalchhar Assembly constituency –Tapan Das, president of Tripura Sagar Association – Subal Rudra would be present in the festival.
