CPI-M complaints against Himanta’s presence in Tripura’s poll centres

AGARTALA, Feb 18 (TIWN): Ruling CPI-M has lodged a complaint with Election Commission of India regarding Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s alleged roaming across the poll-stations during polling hours.
In a complaint to EC, CPI-M wrote, “It has come to our notice, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Finance Minister of Assam and a key political functionary of BJP has been found at Agartala on the day of poll at 3.55 PM”.
“This is on violation of clear prohibition, made by the CEO Tripura. He has been see at Barjala (4) constituency roaming from BJP poll booth offices”, the complaint said further.
CPI-M has sought necessary action against Himanta Biswa Sarma.
