AGARTALA (Takarjala), Feb 9 (TIWN): In a brutal attack police officials were injured at Takarjala by IPFT activists today.

The incident took place at Takarjala constituency today, when CPI-M candidate and activists were in door to door campaigning.

IPFT stopped the activists asking CPI-M can’t campaign at Takarjala. By the time police reached to stop the verbal clash among CPI-M and IPFT, but the IPFT activists attacked upon police and injured them.

The injured police officials admitted in GB hospital are : Ringnaimuni Halam, Bharat Debbarma.

"Around 20 CPI-M activists have been injured by the brutal attack of the IPFT", alleged CPI-M.
