AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): Following yesterday evening’s clash among BJP and CPI-M at Agartala, BJP activists led by Ramnagar candidate Surajit Datta have come in massive protest today morning. Huge numbers of BJP activists have come in protest demanding securities for the BJP activists. On the other side, CPI-M activists have strictly denied for being involved in any violence. The major clash was emerged among the state’s two major political rivals CPI-M and BJP at South Joynagar on yesterday evening, but media couldn’t receive the footage of what actually happened there, but CPI-M has not launched any protest rally at there. In the clash 5 BJP activists were injured and hospitalized. However, nobody was critically injured according to the latest information. Huge numbers of security officials have been deployed at that area, following the incident. Both BJP and CPI-M have blamed each-other for the incident. According to locals, some CPI-M activists had joined BJP today and centering that event the area’s youths had come in major clash.
BJP alleged that an open attack was held upon the BJP activists during BJP's campaigning.
However, following the incident tight security have been deployed across the area.
