AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): Recently more 42000 homes under PMAY scheme were sanctioned for Tripura.

While addressing at Agartala, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that total 42000 houses under PMAY was launched in Tripura, whereas already construction of 16000 houses have started.

However, the Minister also hit the ruling CPI-M Govt of Tripura for not properly utilizing the PMAY scheme and depriving original beneficiaries.

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana, previously Indira Awaas Yojana, is a social welfare flagship programme, created by the Indian Government, to provide housing for the rural poor in India.
