AGARTALA, Feb 2 (TIWN): Reacting over the petrol price hike, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said, "To know what is called Jumla-Bazi, go through petrol, diesel prices of the country. 2 rupees of petrol price was downed by the Modi Govt, whereas in last 6 weeks petrol price was hiked at 7.50 rupees".
"After increasing 7.50 rupees what is the point to down 2 rupees petrol price ?", added Yechury.
"Apart from that even though 2 rupees have been downed, again 2 rupees were hiked on sells which will raise the petrol price at Rs. 8 from Rs. 6. It means whatever you have downed with another hand you are taking it back", added Yechury.
"The profit will be taken by petroleum companies and their expenditure will be less, resulting mass suffering to the common men and that is how jumlas are working under the Modi Govt. In this manner petrol price will be increasing day by day", he said.
