AGARTALA, Feb 1 (TIWN): Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, while addressing in the evening press meet claimed that people came with BJP in such a manner during nominations submission on yesterday, it just looked like "supporters led landslides" came to defeat the Left.
"Yesterday's crowd was actual crowd. It was not like that, supporters were brought from other places but all of them were locals. No vehicle was also provided, but still the crowd in Bagma, Khowai like areas flooded the roads", added Himanta.
Today, IPFT's divided part (IPFT-Tipraha) also aligned with BJP, without any seat for election, as the nomination was submitted already. IPFT-Tipraha's Chief Rajeswar Debbarma had demanded from BJP two things : one was to increase ADC's power by direct funding and another was to defeat the left govt.
However, on that occasion Himanta claimed that since the beginning BJP's aim was to join all Anti-Left vote banks together and at the end Left supporters will be in oneside and common people will be in another side.
