AGARTALA / SONAMURA, Jan 29 (TIWN): Shrugging off dissent mood, Subal Bhowmik after cajoling by Central BJP since yesterday, has now agreed to fight the election from Sonamura constituency, a source said.

However, now Subal Bhowmik has to go for damage repairing as his rejection of Sonamura constituency has hurt the sentiment of the local people at there and CPI-M will be using the sentiment fully.

However, about the debate raised the state BJP didn't officially said anything, neither it mentioned about Subal Bhowmik's meeting with Central BJP leaders with the seat issue.

According to sources, Bhowmik was taken to Delhi and a meeting held with National President Amit Shah in this regard.

But Bhowmik now will face tough time to woo voters at Sonamura after the rejection of his Sonamura constituency directly.

Bhowmik will battle against Sonamura's sitting CPI-M MLA Shyamal Chakraborty.
