AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): When North East's Bengalis are suffering from Identity Crisis even after their majority and contribution for revenues since king's era, but after a certain decades suddenly the Bengali population here have been facing identity crisis led by various separatist movements, Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy in his Republic Day speech said, "I am Bengali and my origin is from East Bhrahmanbaria Dist".
"Lakhs of people from my ancestors are living in Tripura from ancient time. The distance of my origin is just 20 KM away from here. I am from Bhrahmanabaria but still the being the Governor I feel very much attached with the land", added Governor.
"I came in Tripura long before 3 years and met various cultured, communities people. Tripura is also majorly shared by Bengali population and my experience in Tripura has remarked the state with unity and integrity", added Governor.
"I also tried to learn Kokborok being a Bengali but in this age I couldn't learn it fully", the Governor added.
