MOHONPUR, Jan 24 (TIWN): Local people have blocked road at Laxmipur, under Mohonpur area, alleging one minor girl was raped brutally by a worker, working at Holy Cross College building construction.

However, local police told TIWN that the accused has been identified yet, but Police are investigating the matter.

The incident took place on yesterday when taking the opportunity of lonely area, allegedly an Assam based worker had raped the girl, which led her seriously sick.

The agitated locals burnt tires, blocked road for hours.

They have raised two demands : 1) To stop the construction of Holy Cross College, 2) Justice for the victim.
