60 % public vehicles booked for Election duties : Mass suffering, fare hiked

AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Due to Assembly Election, a huge numbers of vehicles were booked by the Election Commission to deploy troops, polling staffs across state, which is leading a sudden vehicle crisis in the state.
Since Wednesday morning acute crisis of vehicles have been witnessing in various bus stands.
Also a hike in bus fare have been complained. The sudden crisis of vehicles fueled resentments among the daily passengers.
Due to the paralyzed condition of the TRTC service, this problem has increased during the poll-season.
Apart from Election duty, political rallies are also booking vehicles.
