AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): (TIWN): The Tripura hockey team will depart for Punjab on August 7 by train to participate in the Under-19 National Hockey Championship. Ahead of their departure, the team was handed over their jerseys at a ceremony held at the Agartala Press Club.

The event was attended by officials from the Tripura Hockey Association, including Secretary Debasish Bhowmik, Vice President Prabir Majumdar, and Treasurer Rajesh Ghosh.

The team, comprising players, coaches, and team managers, will play its first match on August 12. The association wishes the team the best of luck in the championship.
