Delhi Liquor Police Case, May 3 : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has got permission from a court to further question the statement of Vijay Nair and Amit Arora in judicial custody in connection with the excise policy 'scam'. Notably, both Nair and Arora are presently lodged in Tihar Jail. Vijay Nair is the former communication-in-charge of AAP who was first arrested by the CBI and later by the ED. Businessman Amit Arora is a director of Buddy Retail Pvt Limited.
As per ANI, the ED has got court permission to further record their statement on any two days this week. The probe agency had approached the court and asked permission to examine the two.
News agency ANI reported that Chadha had only been mentioned in a supplementary chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi excise policy case. The report specifically said that Chadha was not named as an accused. "...at Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s residence, there was a meeting of Raghav Chadha, ACS Finance of Punjab Govt, Excise Commissioner, Varun Roojam, FCT and officers from Punjab Excise where Vijay Nair was also present," the ED's statement was quoted by ANI.
